Hello Holidays!

I don't know about you but the thought of decorating my home for the holidays, hosting get-togethers, getting cozy by the fire with some hot cocoa, and putting adorably wrapped gifts under the tree has got me really excited! No, I'm not one of those people that decorates on November 1st but I do like to be prepared for when all the events come around. Which to me means ordering my holiday goodies now and not waiting till the last minute! We have lots of holiday style utensils and rolling out NEW this year - gift labels! Good for gifting even after the holidays are over.

Cookie Decorating Party

Tis' the season for cookie decorating and we thought we'd give you a few ideas to make your decorating party cute & functional. Here's a few things you will need for the party:

1. Butcher paper - spread white butcher paper over all of your decorating surfaces to keep things clean & give a nice blank slate for the cookies

2. Squeeze bottles - these bottles make applying icing so much easier and allow for much more intricate decorating

3. Cookie Cutters - Of course you'll need cookie cutters! (unless you buy store bought cookies - no shame in that!) We love these classic shapes in gold.

4. Sprinkles - sprinkles, and more sprinkles! You cannot have too many sprinkles in our opinion.

5. Cupcake liners - Sprinkles, candies, and other decorations fit perfectly in cupcake liners & can be spread out at each decorating station.

6, 7, 8. Wooden spoons & scoops - Scoop & sprinkle with Sucre Shop utensils in each cupcake liner. Our utensils are perfect for little hands to use & make the decorating table very festive.

9.  Baker's Box - Send home your beautifully decorated cookies in a cute bakers box. Be sure to line with wax paper so that each cookie arrives in tact.

10. Muffin tin - For a more transportable option, fill your muffin tin with sprinkles that you can pass down the table with minimal spilling.

Did we miss anything? We'd love to hear your cookie decorating secrets!

Ranch Oyster Crackers - The Best Neighbor Gift

My mom never liked to bake like I do, but she still managed to make these ranch oyster crackers every year. It's because they're super easy and yummy, and everyone needs a little easy and yummy in their life.

I make a huge batch every year and run around to all the neighbors houses handing them out as holiday gifts, and they're always happy to see me. Or maybe it's just the oyster crackers!

photograph by J. Pollack Photography

INGREDIENTS

1/2 tsp. dill
1/4 c oil
16 oz. oyster crackers
1 packet (1 oz.) powdered ranch mix
1/4 tsp. lemon pepper or garlic powder (optional)

Add all ingredients to gallon size zipper bag and toss to coat.
Bake at 250 degrees for 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
